Etching Works

My exploration of etching began with a curiosity about the technique itself. Through practice, I discovered its unique textures and intricate details, which resonated deeply with my interest in capturing the nuances of memory and emotion. The natural patina of this medium seemed to mirror the fragmented and layered nature of recollection. This series focuses on childhood memories, transforming visual fragments of the past into etched prints. By revisiting and reinterpreting these moments, the work reflects not only personal narratives but also invites contemplation on nostalgia and the passage of time. Influenced by the aesthetic of cult films, the visuals carry a quiet, uncanny quality that seeks to explore the tension between familiarity and strangeness. Through the medium of etching, I aim to create an atmosphere that feels simultaneously intimate and distant, encouraging viewers to resonate on the intersections of memory, emotion, and time.
